People are starting to cancel their home phones, and relying on the cellphones they have, I think this is for the best. Home phones really aren't needed anymore, having one is like trying to still live in the past.

I think home phones are only useful if you stay at home most of the time. The service is usually cheaper for unlimited calls, but don't include texts or internet. However, if you spend most of your time outside of the home, or you are big on texting or using your phone for internet, it makes more sense to have a cell phone so that you don't miss important calls and have to wait until you get home to check you voicemail messages.

I believe that you should have both, because it is necessary to have a mobile phone when you are traveling, but it may be necessary to have a home phone that doesn't need to be charged.

In my opinion both are necessary. A mobile does bring many advantages but they're always blacking out, running out of battery and other small issues which make them not as reliable as home phones.

No one can deny that the mobile phone has more advantages than the home phone such as the internet and carrying it everywhere but it is better to have the home phone too. You can forget your mobile phone or lose it anywhere.

I believe home phones are no longer necessary. However, home phones are often cheaper than mobile phones, which make them a reasonable option for people who have limited incomes. I believe as technology continues to evolve, home phones will become extinct.
