Studies have shown that walking barefoot sometimes helps relieving tension. As we walk, the body rubs against the air, thereby causing charges to accumulate. This can adversely affect nerve communication making one feel tired. Walking barefoot allows one to earth this charges and hence remain refreshed.

I did not know that.I have always loved walking barefoot. It is so freeing.There is something about the feel of your toes wiggling in the grass.

One of its advantages is that it increases the surface charge of red blood cells and as a result, the cells avoid clumping, which decreases blood viscosity.
