For me, laptop is more convenient than desktop. As we all know that laptop is very handy, light-weight, and space saving. You can bring your laptop anywhere. In the office, school, and even outdoors like park and coffee shops. As a former college student, using a desktop computer is good, but having a laptop is a must for me. Every power points, projects, thesis, reaction paper, my laptop is in need. Specially when we were doing a group project. I am not saying that desktop can't do these things but you cannot really bring your desktop anywhere. Knowing that desktop computer consists of a monitor, separate keyboard, mouse,CPU and lots of wires. Imagine setting these things up in a place like school. That's not easy. Unlike having a laptop, you had it all. Monitor, keyboard,CPU,mouse and just the charger. You can even use a laptop without using a power outlet. You will just have to make sure that your laptop is charged enough to use.

I prefer a laptop to a desktop. I have been working from home for 4 years now.It is nice to be able to take my work with me anywhere.

It depends on your lifestyle, I am playing high end games and it's my hobby, that's why I prefer desktop for easy parts upgrade like the processor, video card and RAM compared to laptop.

Like what benj said, it really depends on ehat kind of lifestyle you're living. For a person that goes out on business trips a lot a laptop is ideal, but for the person who enjoys playing videogames as a hobby a desktop is better as you can upgrade the various parts to make the desktop better.

What sort of question is these. Of cause laptop is portable and that is a big factor. Desktop is for offices and laptop is for personal use. Simple.
